In the film Forgotten, a young man (Jin-seok) moves into a new home with his family and begins to have weird experiences. He expresses his worries, but nobody in the home seems to care.Jin-seok witnesses the kidnapping of his brother on a soggy evening. Yoo-seok returns about 19 days later, but he does not recall what happened. In addition to his memory problems, Jin-seok begins to notice further changes in his brother.

Plot twist: Jin-seok discovers that his mother and brother are imposters after listening in on their chat. Jin-seok is forced to rush to the closest police station after the startling revelation. In fact, the cops are somewhat perplexed by his assertions when he tells them what happened. Jin-seok's age is revealed by a mirror to be in his 40s rather than his 20s.

Why Is "Forgotten" Happening? (Explained Plot)

In reality, the man posing as his older brother is the only person left alive after a terrible accident. A mother and her daughter were brutally killed in their home some 20 years ago. The murderer chose, for whatever reason, to spare the family's youngest member, a tiny boy. Due to the fact that the police were unable to identify the murderer, the latter decided to act independently.

All the evidence points to Jin-seok. To get some answers, the young man and his group made the decision to kidnap the suspect.

The Others' conclusion clarified that the ghost story's actual themes are regret and loss, whereas the 2001 Gothic horror film is both emotionally charged and captivating. In the aftermath of the war, Grace Stewart  and her two children live with Anne  and Nicholas in a stunning old Jersey home. The supernatural plot of The Others depends more on Kidman's compelling portrayal of a mother trying her hardest to shield her kids from spirits in their home than it does on jump scares.

The Others is one of the many horror films that should be seen twice because it has a sluggish pacing that evokes a strong sense of atmospheric dread. The second time around, the experience is quite different. The last act's twist reframes the narrative and clarifies the plot's true meaning, demonstrating to the audience and the story's protagonists that nothing is as it seems. The Others' conclusion functions perfectly, in contrast to some movie twist endings that seem nonsensical.

Grace and her children discover they are ghosts, along with the servants in their home. In The Others, Grace and her children discover that "the others"-the ghosts who stalk them-are actually a new family living there. Grace finds it difficult to accept this since she genuinely believes she is still alive, and The Others make sure she appears terrified the entire time.

A dispute regarding Madison's previous losses breaks out between her and her violent husband, Derek. Madison bleeds from the back of her skull when Derek loses his rage and bangs her head against the wall.

Derek is killed by a dark entity that night, and Madison ends up in the hospital. Madison becomes a suspect as there is no proof of a break-in. She soon starts seeing visions of murders, which only makes everyone more suspicious of her. 

It soon becomes clear from the inquiry that Madison was formerly known as Emily and was being treated for a mental illness by Dr. Florence Weaver. Everyone who previously collaborated with Dr. Weaver to treat Emily is the target of the string of killings Madison says he saw. When Emily was eight years old, she was ultimately adopted and given the name Madison.

Madison remembers Gabriel, her made-up childhood pal, when she receives a spooky voice calling her Emily. After realizing that Gabriel is more than just a fantasy, Madison sets out to discover the truth about what truly occurred to her as a child and the true identity of Gabriel.

Emily and Gabriel, Madison's parents, were identical twins with a single brain. Strength and the capacity to project ideas via radio frequency were among the extraordinary abilities that Gabriel acquired. Dr. Weaver was attempting to figure out how to give Emily total command over her body and thoughts, but Gabriel was just too strong. With no other option, Dr. Weaver takes Gabriel's physical body, cuts out the malignancy, and seals a piece of his head within Emily's.

After this process, Gabriel goes into dormancy. A generous family adopts Emily and gives her the name Madison. In order to deceive Madison into killing her unborn step-sister, Gabriel first keeps talking to her while projecting fake images. After Gabriel fails, Madison finds no use for him after her sister Sydney moves in. He is buried deep in Madison's subconscious, and 27 years go by.
